After spending a summer swinging alpine passes in the sun and a noticeable disrespect of duty scrabbling up the lanes of Devon, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms. And , with inspiration from Ming, I feel the need again for mud in my eyes, frostbite in my fingers and water in my boots. (Unsure I believe this b******* myself...)
Anyhow, in a sincere gesture to make you lot look young and hip (a give away to my age) I'm nominating myself for membership of this esteemed forum.
Please look kindly on this old tog and say I can join your gang
if it ain't the split link (on a ride) loosing Lucky, as I live and breath. Welcome to the the oasis of calm and tranquillity that is THE SOUTH DEVON TRAIL RIDERS. Sorry to hear about your resent loss (bike).
If you know not who I am, I'm the big tall gob****e on a KTM........................
Did I ever mention the spilt link fell out at Totnes...
Don't get me wrong, I'd still be stuck up that lane without you, but I learned my lesson about taking the basics on a ride in future.
The loss of the Beemer still hurts, knowing I'm unlikely to get a swanky bike like that again, but you got to move on. Now got my name on a WR250R so I can get some practice in for Bulgaria. Can't wait!
